Eden Redman
President
Hey there, welcome to the club! I'm Eden, I'm in an after-degree focusing on Industrial Design and East Asian Language Studies, with 4+ years of research experience across Psychology, Computational Neuroscience, Physiology, and Psychiatry. I've touched on everything from brain surgery to oil painting, and many things in-between. I like getting my hands dirty soldering or coding alongside fellow project team members, pushing projects forward, and helping knock down barriers for students from all backgrounds. I hope to teach as much as I have to learn from the opportunity to lead NeurAlbertaTech. Aside from chronic workaholism, lately I have been enjoying sculpture, gaming, and rock climbing.

Cameron Hildebrandt
VP Software
Hey, my name is Cameron and I am a computing science major rolling into my third year of studies here at the UofA! I have grown a really strong interest for anything and everyhting ML and I'm really looking forward to bringing everything I am learning from my collection of CMPUT classes this year to the club and projects! I am excited to see everything that this new role entails and more importantly, how much more the club will grow this year! When I am fortunate enough to have a little bit of free time, I like to develop websites, take photos, and cross things off of that backlog of exciting side projects.

Portia Rayner
VP Hardware
Hi! I'm Portia and I'm in my third year of mechanical engineering. I'm really interested in how different open source technologies can be used to create affordable medical devices. I enjoy doing all kinds of hardware projects and I've recently been learning about different kinds of robotics. In my spare time, I like reading anything from "Sapiens" to "The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy", trying to bake, and playing with my dog. I'm excited to be joining the team this year and I look forward to working on some incredibly cool neurotech projects!

David Lam
VP Operations and Finance
Hi! I'm in my fourth year of Honors Neuroscience and I'll be coordinating all of our teams so everything goes as smoothly as possible! Aside from this, I help out in a cognitive psychology lab, an electrophysiology lab, as well as other volunteer groups on campus. During my free time (aka time that should be spent studying) I like to play the piano, hit the gym, and "game" on my outdated potato PC. I am excited for the things we will achieve and look forward to working with all of you!

Matthew Danyluik
VP Internal
Hey, I'm Matt, and I'll be serving as your VP Internal! I'm in my fourth year of the Neuroscience program, where I'm putting together my thesis on the role of oscillatory brain activity in adaptive learning. Off campus, I love watching hockey, playing soccer, and keeping myself occupied with a good book or album. I'm looking forward to putting together more incredible projects with everyone in my last year with the club!

Quintin Hansen
VP External
Hey! I'm Quintin and I'm in my 4th year of BSc Psych and Cmput double major, I also help out in a ML/Neuroscience lab here on campus. My biggest interests lie in merging machine learning with the brain and hopefully one day understanding consciousness through computational models. In my free time I like to learn about ML and neuroscience as well as work on programming side projects. Aside from this I am passionate about music and my main hobby is performing as a Dj (before Covid), I also enjoy hiking and most things outdoors. I'm excited to see what the field of neurotech has to offer and the amazing projects we will create!
Landon Fuhr
VP Communications
Hey! I'm Landon and I'm in my third year of Physiology here at the UofA and also do research in the Psychiatry department involving brain imaging in mice. Outside of school, I like mountain biking, working out, and have recently gotten into bouldering. I also enjoy reading self-help books and wasting time by watching YouTube videos on everything from minimalism to machine learning. I'm super excited to be working with everyone to make some awesome neurotech!
"Any sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic" - Aurthur Clarke
Nicole Wlasitz
VP Academic
Hey team, my name is Nicole and I'm your VP Academic! My role is centered around organizing the awesome workshops we put on. When I'm not busy with finishing my BSc Specialization in Psychology, I love playing with my service dog, reading, watching Netflix, and learning about cool neurotech. I can't wait to see how far neurotech can take us as a society!
